The Friends of White Plains Public Schools, a 501(3)(c) non-profit, provides grants for academic and cultural enrichment programs, projects, activities and other special needs not included in the District’s annual budget.
We welcome grant applications from teachers, coordinators and administrators. The grants we approve include:
The Friends encourages grants for class, grade, school or District activities that reflect and enhance the curriculum, benefit a significant number of students, increase student confidence and love of learning and, ultimately, student academic success.
Individual grants usually fall within the $300 to $3,000 range. Grant applications should be submitted at least five weeks before the start of the program or activity.
